Spree NDT Co Ltd was formed in 1979 to provide a Non-Destructive Testing service in the south east of England. Over time it has grown to provide a comprehensive service throughout the UK and now covers various overseas countries. Over the last 25 years we have gained and retained UKAS accreditation for numerous testing methods required for weld procedure and welder qualification certification for both BS EN ISO and ASME standards. We hold both in house and on-site UKAS Accreditation. Our UKAS schedule certificate detailing the various testing methods can be seen following the link above.

With worldwide coverage during 2014/15 we simultaneously ran inspection projects in the Shetlands, Falklands, Republic of Ireland and Ascension Island whilst maintaining our workload in the UK.

We have vast industry experience over all sectors with some of our clients including BP, Total, National Grid, BPA, Esso.

Our projects are regularly carried out on shutdowns that involve tight timelines with multi-disciplined inspection. This gives the requirement for onsite NDT and welding inspection together with coordinated laboratory testing at head office.

A very quick note just to say a huge thank you for your monumental efforts and commitment to ensuring that we completed the tie in operations last night.
All golden welds were successfully 100% radiographed and NDTd.
We now have a tied in pipeline that is ready to be put back into service recommencing supplies into Gatwick and Purfleet.

Radiography

We can provide radiographic inspection both on-site and in our UKAS/HSE approved radiography enclosures. We have the capability of using conventional X-radiography (up to 5mA & 300kV) or gamma radiography (Se-75 or Ir-192). We can provide a mobile dark-room facility allowing us to process and develop radiographs on site during the same shift, this increases production rates and ensures the quality of the final radiographs, reports will also be produced and issued while on site for time critical projects. For longer projects we can provide a fixed on-site dark room/office establishment. We also have market leading computed radiography equipment at our disposal to use in conjunction with our X-radiography kit, to suit all your necessary requirements. This is quicker and more environmentally friendly the ‘wet film’ technique associated with conventional radiography. Depending on which type of inspection you opt for we will ensure full compliance with the latest recognised specifications across a large variety of industry and sectors.
